Class Ages
We offer soccer classes in different age ranges. Our youngest soccer class (18–36 months) is a parent participation class. If you have twins, each child will each need a separate parent as their partner. The other classes are 3-5 years and 5.5 - 8 years and are not parent participation. Each class is 1 hour, 1 time per week. We are not a soccer league and do not compete against other teams.
The 3-5 year and 5.5 - 8 year soccer classes the parents watch from the sideline. If your child is in a non-parent participation class and needs your assistance because they are shy, scared, etc. it is ok for the parent to temporarily be on the field to help ease their child into the class. The goal is for your child to play in the class without needing parental support on the field.
18–36 months parent/
child class description
Each class is 60 minutes long which combines 15 minutes of free play (open to family and friends) followed by 45 minutes of structured physical activities (with and without the ball). The activities are designed to help promote motor skills (balance, coordination, running control) and social skills (listening, teamwork, sharing). From experience, we have found that children at this age learn best through repetition and Kinder Kickz Soccer will provide a series of games and challenges that the children can accomplish better each week.
Each child will need one active adult as their partner to participate with them for the entire class every week. Kinder Kickz Soccer uses fun props (balls, balloons, colorful equipment, bubbles, parachutes) to keep the class engaged and excited to return the
following week.
The Kinder Kickz Soccer curriculum was developed by Renee Ziemer who has a B.S. in Physical Education and Masters of Education.
3–5 year and 5.5 – 8 year class descriptions
We offer 3–5 year and 5.5 – 8-year classes. These classes are 60 minutes long which combine 15 minutes of free play (open to family and friends) followed by 45 minutes of structured activities to help teach basic soccer skills (passing, kicking, dribbling, juggling, scoring, basic scrimmage play), along with motor skills (balance, coordination, running control) and social skills (listening, building confidence, teamwork, sharing, sportsmanship).
Each age group will be introduced to new activities, which challenge them in a non-competitive and positive learning environment. Kinder Kickz Soccer uses fun props to keep the class engaged and excited to return the following week.
